Christina Aguilera talks Britney and Justin love triangle
In between smashing out ballads during James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke, Christina Aguilera dished out some pretty juicy Disney goss.
Before the 37-year-old rose to fame with her jaw dropping singing voice, she starred alongside fellow A-list celebs Britney Spears, Ryan Gosling and Justin Timberlake in the Disney Channel’s Mickey Mouse Club – what a crew!
The show marked the beginning of one of the most iconic pop couples of all time: Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears (even if they didn’t last).
But it seems before the pair got hitched in 1999, there was a bit of a love triangle going on between Justin, Britney and Christina.
Late show host James Corden naturally assumed Christina might have been crushing on the dreamy Ryan Gosling but it seems that wasn’t the case.
“There were crushes, but I … I wasn’t on the train,” Christina said referring to the ‘train’ of girls that fancied Ryan.
Then when asked if she was on the ‘Timberlake train,’ Christina laughed before admitting she was.
“There was me and Britney — well now, you know — there was a thing back then.” she stumbled.
James was then slightly taken aback, asking if Justin was really the “Main dude in the MMC?”
“I have to say, back then, he had swag” She revealed.
THEN, this love triangle became a love square, when Christina revealed Ryan had a crush on Britney!
However, it was Justin that stole her heart, with the pair dating from 1999 to 2002 before going separate ways.
Oh, the days of being a teenager… when swag trumps it all.
