The Clooneys' role in Brad and Ange's custody battle

Brad Pitt was recently granted more access to his six kids after a court hearing ruled in his favour against Angelina Jolie.

But it seems the ‘victory’ wasn’t something he achieved alone, with a new report claiming George and Amal Clooney helped the Hollywood star win in his bitter custody battle.

Apparently, the 54-year-old was so grateful for their support, he honoured them at a lavish party he threw recently to mark the result.

“They’ve been a crucial pillar of strength for Brad through his whole custody battle with Ange, and he knows he wouldn’t be celebrating right now if it wasn’t for George and Amal,” a source told New Idea.

The magazine’s insider went on to say that Amal was particularly helpful thanks to the fact she’s a lawyer and was able to “get him the right advice and choose the right strategy for taking on Ange”.

“Amal was only too keen to help — now that she’s a mum she knows how important it is that both parents have a strong relationship with their kids,” the report continued.

In April it was reported Brad and Ange had finally come to an agreement over how to look after Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 11, and twins Vivienne and Knox, nine, with Brad finally being allowed more time with them.

But two months later, a judge officially granted him more access to all the kids except Maddox — who at age 16 is old enough to decide for himself — and warned Ange the kids “not having a relationship with their father is harmful”.

“It is critical that each of them have a healthy and strong relationship with their father and mother,” he said during the ruling.

There was also information leaked from the private ruling that stated Ange had to give Brad all the kids mobile phone numbers and wasn’t allowed to screen their messages.

The 43-year-old however slammed the reports, calling them “misleading” and “inaccurate”.

Brad and Ange split in September 2016 after ten years together.
