Comedian jokes about 27-year age gap with his teenage girlfriend

US comedian Dane Cook has opened up about the 27-year age gap in his relationship, joking that the only downside will be that their deaths with be “far apart”.

The 46-year-old, who has been dating 19-year-old Kelsi Taylor for just over a year, did a Q&A with fans on his Instagram story where he opened up about how they met and the biggest challenge they face.

He was asked by one fan what his advice would be for other people in relationships with large age gaps.

“The only thing you have to do is plan that your deaths will be somewhat far apart,” the Good Luck Chuck star wrote.

Dane and Kelsi are 27 years apart in age but the stand-up comic took the opportunity to heap praise on his partner calling her “smart, kind, creative, loyal & honest.”

The couple first confirmed their relationship in January this year, after having quietly dated for a year.

“We met at a game night I host at my place,” he also explained in the Q&A. “We were friends for a while & soon after fell in like with each and then upgraded to love.”

They’ve since shared plenty of their dates and love-up moments on Instagram.

“Happy valentine’s day. Love you endlessly,” Kelsi posted.

Kelsi, who turns 20 in October, is a singer and has performed background vocals for Demi Lovato and Little Big Town.

The pair have spent the past year travelling the globe on romantic holidays together, along with spending time in Los Angeles.
