Comedian's hilarious 'jacketgate' parody
It’s been almost a year since ‘jacketgate’ went viral around the world, with leaked video footage showing Nine News reporter Amber Sherlock having a spat with fellow presenter Julie Snook over their outfit double-up.
“Julie, you need to put a jacket on. I made this clear two and a half hours ago,” Amber snapped, while the panel of three presenters quickly looked for a solution for their wardrobe dilemma – which ended up being a black jacket for Julie.
Now thanks to US comedian Steven Phillips-Horst’s hilarious parody version, we can relive the whole incident all over again.
Dressed in three different wigs and white blouses, the comedian recreates a pretty accurate portrayal of what went down that morning before air.
And he hit the nail on the head when it comes to their expressions, going from an exasperated Amber, to an apologetic Julie, and uncomfortable third panellist Sandy Rea, who awkwardly tries to laugh off the situation.
“Amber I’m sorry I’ve been flat out… if it’s an issue I can just get on out of here,” he says, impersonating Julie.
“Yeah, it’s an issue, go and grab a jacket,” fake Amber replies, just as in the original clip.
He then takes a bit of creative licence and goes further into the scene than what was in the original video, by showing the frustrated expression we all imagined Julie to have when she had to put on that black cover-up jacket.
Meanwhile, Amber’s stern and unimpressed face is everything!
It seems Poor Amber Sherlock isn’t going to live this one down easily.
