Donald Trump makes Roseanne firing all about himself

There has been a ton of reactions to US network ABC’s decision to cancel its popular sitcom Roseanne after its star, Roseanne Barr, tweeted a racist comment about former Barack Obama staffer Valerie Jarrett.

The ABC — owned by the Walt Disney Company — released a statement, saying, “Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values.”

Although most praised the network for its quick response, President Donald Trump had a different and expected approach to the ordeal.

Just as he did on Memorial Day, Trump tweeted a statement making Barr’s firing all about himself.

Unfortunately, the president did not elaborate on which of ABC’s “HORRIBLE statements” he’s referring to; however, Trump has repeatedly had issues with the network, as is well documented on Twitter.

Even before he was president, Trump had issues with ABC’s programming, blasting the network for its popular show Black-ish.

He wrote in 2014, “How is ABC Television allowed to have a show entitled ‘Blackish?’ Can you imagine the furor of a show, ‘Whiteish’! Racism at highest level?”

Roseanne has not yet responded to Trump’s comment regarding her firing from ABC, although she did retweet his statement.

The actress and president have a special bond, however. The actress came under fire recently for her outspoken support of Trump just before the Roseanne reboot aired.

Many decided to boycott the sitcom, but when ABC hit its highest ratings in six years, the president personally called the actress to congratulate her on the show’s success.

And yesterday, after vowing to quit Twitter, Roseanne returned to the network tweeting a response to users calling her “racist.”

She empathised with Trump’s criticism on social media.

Roseanne has attributed her tweets to ambien.
