A woman from Georgia is seeking legal action after DeGeneres used her name in a 'What's Wrong With These Signs?' segment.

"I thought your viewers would enjoy the name on this picture..." Ellen read from a card, before showing a real estate sign featuring the name 'Titi Pierce.'

According to the legal complaint, the woman's name is actually pronounced 'TeeTee', but of course, that's not the way Ellen pronounced it on the show.

"In all her 35 years of life, no one has ever referred to Ms Pierce as ‘titty’ until the Defendant did so on February 22, 2016 on national television,” the legal complaint said.

"Prior to the Defendant’s misdeeds, Ms Pierce has been called only by her name ‘Titi’, which as grammar dictates, is pronounced ‘TEE TEE’."

DeGeneres and her team also failed to censor Pierce's mobile number from the sign, exposing her to "“immediate ridicule", with her phone ringing off the hook with jokers during a family funeral.
