Miley Cyrus and Sam Smith lead stars performing Elton John tribute concert

The Grammy's are hosting a tribute concert to honour Elton John's contribution to music and the stars set to perform are HUGE.

So far, Miley Cyrus, Sam Smith, Keith Urban and John Legend have all been announced as stars taking to the stage during the one-off show.

The Elton John: I’m Still Standing – A Grammy Salute will take place two days after the Grammy award ceremony, on January 30th from Madison Square Gardens in New York and understandably, music fans are getting excited about the epic line-up.

Over the span of his career, Elton has won five of the prestigious music gongs, and been nominated for countless more.

One of his wins was for his work on The Lion King, which ahead of the movie remake, he is reportedly collaborating with Beyonce to revamp the classics.

Queen Bey confirmed recently she would be starring in the Walt Disney live action reboot.

Neil Portnow, the President/CEO of the Recording Academy, has said that Elton was the perfect musician to honour as he is a "cultural icon."

“Sir Elton John is an international music legend who has captivated audiences across generations for more than five decades,” he said in a statement. “His creativity, dynamic presence, and melodic virtuosity have positioned him as a cultural icon, and the Recording Academy is pleased to honour his immeasurable contributions to the music community.”

Other stars set to take the stage over the two day event also include Kesha and Coldplay crooner Chris Martin.
