Shock new scenes from cannibal horror film

It's the film that's left early viewers shocked and some even fainting in the cinema.

And now, new extended scenes from French horror film Raw show the film is even gorier than at first thought.

The film follows lifelong vegetarian, student Justine, who undergoes a gruesome hazing ritual when entering vet school and descends into cannibalism.

The confronting new footage shows actress Garance Marillier gobbling fillets of raw chicken in a midnight fridge binge, taking a kiss with a fellow student to gruesome new places, and shows the character to succumbing to an invasive, spreading skin infection.

After a controversial outing at the Toronto film festival, the film is set to be released in the US in March this year, several months after it was previewed in Toronto in September.
