Happy Days star 'Joanie' dead at 56
Erin Moran, who played the beloved character Joanie on Happy Days and its spin-off series Joanie Loves Chachi, has died.
Signed up to star in the hit sitcom when she was just 14, California-born Erin's career faltered after her early success.
She and her husband were reportedly evicted from their trailer park home in Indiana, and were forced to live at a motel.
"On April 22, 2017 at approximately 4.07pm, the Harrison County Sheriffs Department received a 911 call that referenced an unresponsive female," the Harrison County Sheriffs Department in Harrison County told E! News in a statement.
"Upon the arrival of first responders, it was determined that Erin Marie Moran Fleischmann was deceased and an autopsy is pending."
Moran's friends and former colleagues expressed their sadness at her passing on social media.
OH Erin... now you will finally have the peace you wanted so badly here on earth ...Rest In It serenely now.. too soon
