People across the country were celebrating their mothers and everything they have done for them.

Celebrities that took to social media show some love to their mums included Kylie Minogue, Delta Goodrem, Elle Macpherson and more.

Kylie Minogue posted a major throwback picture of her and her mum, Ann. The singer praised her mum saying she was always there for her.

Dannii, Kylie's sister, also took to Instagram to wish Ann a Happy Mother's Day posting a more recent photo back when she was pregnant.

Today Extra host David Campbell praised his wife, Lisa, saying his kids "won the lottery" when it comes to mothers. Aw!
