Brad Pitt 'hit hard' by Chris Cornell’s death
Brad Pitt has had a lot to deal with following his divorce from Angelina Jolie and the actor received even more sad news to learn his good friend Chris Cornell had passed away.
The 52-year-old singer was found dead in his hotel room at the MGM Grand Detroit after performing with Soundgarden earlier that evening. Authorities have ruled Chris’ death as a suicide.
A source told E! News: “[Brad] is devastated and in shock.”
The source also said the news of the rocker’s death “has hit him very hard”.
The pair have been friends for years and Brad joined Chris at a ROCK4EB! charity event in January.
Brad introduced Chris to the crowd saying: “I get to introduce a very, very good friend of mine and someone I’ve known for quite a while, and I’m a huger fan of, Mr Chris Cornell.”
