Seal’s 'sulky' behaviour on The Voice set
This season, Seal returned to The Voice after four years away and certainly seems to be rocking the boat.
He debuted as a judge on the show’s first season and came back the following season, winning both years.
After taking some time off it was announced in 2016 Seal would return to the show this year, but the UK star is reportedly less than popular on set.
According to New Idea his “brusque manner” during filming “has everyone talking”.
A source told the publication: “He’s always grumpy, rarely smiles and his attitude towards the coaches, specifically Boy George, is completely out of order.”
The singer apparently “sulks” on set and doesn’t really interact with anyone instead choosing to look at his phone or notebook.
“He wants to be the voice of authority. But sometimes he comes across as very high and mighty,” another source revealed to the magazine.
Even his manager is worried about the judge’s reputation.
“Seal’s manager was worried he was ruining his reputation. He’s normally known to be the nurturing, mature, kind guy, but this is showing him in a whole new light,” the insider said.
There have also been rumours of an ongoing feud between the 54-year-old and Boy George.
The male judges had an on-screen spat during the blind auditions over contestant Adam Rennie.
After the contestant’s performance some swipes back and forth were exchanged between the two judges.
Seal firmly retaliated saying: “George, do your Googles mate. I’ve won it twice.”
“I’ve heard of you. It’s OK. Remember, winning is just losing with a temporary smile - you can’t win everything, babe,’ George responded.
This prompted Boy George to storm off after the cameras stopped rolling.
With the live shows set to begin this Sunday, who knows what will happen!
