Sinead's bizarre sex plea to Russell Brand

Troubled singer Sinead O’Connor has sent a sexually explicit message to comedian Russell Brand while thanking him for offering her support through her mental health issues.

Brand had sent O’Connor a message on YouTube following her public breakdown saying she needed “connection, meaning, purpose, love and a bit of time, really”.

It comes after the 50-year-old posted an emotional video to her Facebook page telling fans she was alone and that she had contemplated suicide.

After having seen Brand's touching video, O’Connor decided to reach out with a sexually charged Facebook message.

In it she wrote: “Thank you so much for your support”

She continued: “Have always felt a great kinship with you. Could also do with a jolly good rogering, frankly. The last man who touched my body took out my reproductive system two years ago. So if you really wanna be part of my healing journey, c’om, horse it into me, boss.”

She later clarified her message telling fans that it was “only Russell I wanna do, so don’t waste your time.”

Brand had previously told how he admired O’Connor and had a crush on her.

But it doesn’t look like they’ll be hooking up any time soon as Brand is currently engaged and a new father.

It's been a troubling year for O'Connor.

In May, Sinead issued an apology to her family for insulting them during her breakdown in 2016.

She said: "Last year I did something ... unforgivable because I was out of my mind."

In 2016, the singer - who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder more than a decade ago - revealed a successful stint in rehab helped her kick an addiction to marijuana.

Earlier this year, US TV star Arsenio Hall dropped a $5 million lawsuit against Sinead in relation to a Facebook post in which she claimed he gave Prince drugs.

Sinead - who has four children from different relationships - revealed on Facebook in 2015 she had taken an overdose at a hotel in Ireland but she was later found safe.
