‘Friends’ movie trailer drops, fans freak out

A movie trailer showing the ‘Friends’ gang reuniting after 14 years has sent fans into a meltdown – but it’s not all as it seems.

It seems to be what fans of the 90s sitcom have been waiting for, Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Chandler, Ross and Joey finally reunited.

Given the revival of Friends on Netflix has been a huge success, fans have been practically begging for a big screen reunion.

But while the trailer appears to show the friends getting back together – with Monica and Chandler divorcing, Rachel working as a therapist and Joey still being, well, Joey – eagle-eyed viewers have actually worked out that is not the case.

The tailer is actually made up of cleverly captured shots from the groups TV exploits since leaving the show.

The video called The One With The Reunion was uploaded to the Youtube channel Smasher and has since been viewed over 2.5 million times.

While the clip is pretty convincing fans will sadly likely have to wait a long time for a reunion with David Schwimmer, who played Ross on the show, having previously put to bed any hope of a film.

Courteney Cox previously opened up to Yahoo about the failed attempt at a movie.

"Let it go people, we are not doing it," she said. "It's just not going to happen.

"We were 80 percent there for a reunion but there's always one person who flakes at the end.

"I'm not going to name names, but it may not be [David] Schwimmer."
