Victoria Beckham shuts down Spice Girls reunion
It might not be what Spice Girls fans want to hear but Victoria Beckham has ruled out a Spice Girls reunion tour.
Victoria revealed in an interview with Vogue UK that there will be no tour, so don’t expect to see your favourite 90s girl bend on stage together anytime soon.
“I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour," she said in the interview previewing her fall/winter 2018 collection during New York Fashion Week.
"It was so great to see the girls. We had such a fun lunch. It was really, really, really lovely. I still speak to them all individually, but for us all to get together was really lovely.”
The rumour mill spun out of control earlier this week when former members of the beloved band got together and shared a photo online.
Victoria, Emma Bunton, Melanie C, Melanie B and Geri Halliwell all reunited last week in London for the first time since 2012, together with their manager Simon Fuller.
They then later released a statement expressing how the time felt right to "explore some incredible new opportunities together."
Almost immediately, TMZ reported that the five singers would be embarking on a tour of the US and UK this year.
Fans couldn’t contain their excitement, with many begging the former girl group to reveal whether they are reuniting or not.
It comes after reports that the highly anticipated royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be the reason behind their get together.
“Geri suggested the Royal Wedding is a fantastic opportunity, and that they should offer to perform at the reception,” a source told The Sun this week.
“She has been told that Meghan was a big fan of the Spice Girls.”
