The New York Daily News obtained a copy of the memoir, with the actress claiming that baby Suri was left to 'cry for hours' during Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes lavish wedding.

Remini writes that throughout the extravagant pre-wedding dinner "the wails of a 7-month-old infant" could be heard throughout.

After becoming concerned, the actress ventured to find where a young Suri was, and found "three women staring at the infant" that was lying on the bathroom floor.

She writes that the three women, including Tom Cruise's sister and his assistant, were "gaping at the hungry child as if she was 'L. Ron Hubbard incarnate'".

The high-profile marriage of Cruise to Katie Holmes in 2006 sparked the beginning of the end of Remini's time as a Scientologist.

She claims that Tom asked her to invite her high-profile friends, the then-married Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, to his wedding, but was intentionally kept away during the festivities because the church was trying to "make Jennifer a Scientologist" and didn't want Rimini as a distraction.

After the wedding, the actress also learned that Katie Holmes has personally filed a “knowledge report” (i.e. a documented grievance) against her.

“I was dismayed at the behaviour of Leah Remini during the events leading up to our wedding and our wedding,” the newly minted Mrs. Cruise wrote. “The behaviour as a guest, a friend, was very upsetting.”

For the record, the following year, Remini wrote a letter to the Chairman of the Board of Scientology, David Miscavige, denouncing her behaviour herself. “I acted like a complete idiot at the wedding,” she admitted in the note - though during the 20/20 interview, she explained that at the time, she was petrified of leaving the only church she’d ever known.
