Legendary Australian singer Tina Arena says she would not want to enter the music industry if she were starting her career today.
The Young Talent Time star sat down with Yahoo7 Entertainment to discuss her new album ‘Eleven’, upcoming shows and her recent honour of being inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.

“If I had to start again I would definitely not choose the music industry,” Tina said.
“It’s tough. I don’t have rose tinted glasses – I let go of those a long time ago.”
The singer said she felt many things in today’s music industry had been “heavily diluted” to satisfy a “generation with a sense of entitlement”.
Tina singled out social media as the key reason behind some of the music industries more negative changes.

“I feel incredibly blessed to have started my career during a time when there wasn’t any social media, like Facebook or Twitter,” she said.
“I think a lot of things have been quite heavily diluted – that instant gratification. Of course, there are so many wonderful things [with social media] to embrace, but so many people immerse themselves in it so deeply, that they disconnect to the fundamental things in life.”
The 48-year-old stunner also revealed she was “surprised” when she learnt of her induction in the ARIA Hall of Fame, but feels “now is the right time”.
“I feel that now if probably the right time to pay tribute to a body of work that’s spanned 40 years,” she said.
“I’m finally very peaceful, and at peace [with the work] and incredibly grateful at having been able to put that work together.
“It’s an amazing time for me and it’s time to celebrate it – it really is,” she said.
