According to fan reports, the biter in question was waiting in line to get her picture taken with Reedus (who portrays beloved Daryl Dixon) and his co-star Michael Rooker.

When the woman was finally able to meet the actors, it started out as a relatively normal meet-and-greet. She apparently opened by telling Reedus a story about how she likes to pretend that she’s married to him, but when it was her turn to say cheese she turned and bit his chest.

Rooker reportedly exclaimed, "What the f**k was that?!"

Security saw what happened and removed the woman from the convention, telling her, "Um, ma'am, you just bit Norman Reedus."

Reedus declined to press charges against the woman since it was really just a nibble and didn’t break the skin.

As for the fan, she shared a pic on Instagram - guess she got at least one useable shot before getting the boot - apologising to her TV crush.

"Finally meet the love of my life, and get banned from the rest of the CON and lose two more $100 photo ops with him because I lost my mind…got so excited standing beside him… & just turned my head and bit him! I don’t know what came over me. It wasn’t my intention to hurt him. I’m sorry Norman!"

We think all is forgiven, but not forgotten.

Reedus, who is known for being fun and friendly with his fans, posted a photo of himself on Instagram wearing a shirt that reads, “DO NOT BITE ME.” He captioned the post, “Um please don’t [flamingo girl emoji].”

People, take note.
