That moment when you stack it on LIVE TV

There's nothing worse than stacking it in front of a crowd, but to make matters worse imagine doing it on national TV.

That's exactly what happened to one young boy who was being interviewed during this morning's Weekend Sunrise weather cross in Adelaide.

Fill-in presenter Sam Mac was interviewing the youngster named 'Charlie' about the fancy new hoverboard he received for Christmas.

After the boy showed off a few clever twists and turns, Sam was then informed by hosts Edwina Bartholomew and Andrew O'Keefe that some hoverboard brands have been recalled.

"We got one of them yesterday in our house," Andrew told Sam, adding: "But there's been a total recall on the 'Transformer pack'".

A worried looking Eddie interrupted to add that "they blow up".

"Is that right?" a very surprised sounding Sam replied, before walking over to Charlie's dad.

But Charlie's very relaxed looking dad told Sam he knew all about the recall.

Finally getting the serious side of things out of the way, Sam wanted to bring out his inner kid and ventured back over to Charlie to ask if he could "have a go" on his hoverboard.

After giving Charlie what he thought was a 'light push', poor Sam stood motionless as the youngster tumbled off his board headfirst and onto the concrete.

Lucky he was wearing a helmet.

"Did you just push a kid off his own hoverboard?" a stunned Eddie asked.

But Sam and Charlie seemed to part ways amicably, with Sam wrapping his arm around the youngster at the end of the segment.
