Samantha Jade 'loves' playing a bad girl

She's known for her phenomenal singing voice and super sweet nature.

But pop star Samantha Jade says she's relishing her turn as bad-girl Isla on Home and Away.

"It's actually really fun," the pint-sized singer told Sunrise.

"[The character] is very different from the real me, and it's fun the play a mum too."

The 28-year-old's character arrives in the bay with a hidden agenda, but instantly setting her sights on Kyle (played by Nic Westaway), it doesn’t take long to realise Isla isn't just in it for love when it comes to the hunky bartender.

Without going into too much detail, Sam gave viewers an unique insight into what the future holds for their characters: "Well, I can’t say too much but I can say he [Kyle] really ends up saving Isla and growing to love her."

Awww!

She then cheekily added: "I don’t now how he does it because she’s a bit of a piece of work."

Sam said she loved working with Nic so much, she even asked him to star in the film clip for her new single Always.

"Literally one day on set I was like, 'do you wanna be in my new video?' and he was like, 'yeah, sure'. So he did it," she said.
