Warnie calls Waleed ‘a d***’

Shane Warne may need to take a chill pill.

After yesterday’s shock exit from I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here the cricket legend had an awkward on air moment with journalist Waleed Aly which turned into quite the tiff. Infact Warnie took to Twitter to call Aly a 'd***.'

During an interview on The Project Warnie spoke all things jungle and his apparent romance with actress Carmen Electra before things turned sour.

The former cricketer got agitated by Aly’s line of questioning about the star’s charity possibly being audited for fund mismanagement.

“You and Fev were going to donate money to the charity. There’s been the audit. It wraps up next week. You are about to land back in Australia and land in the middle of that issue. What are you doing about that the moment you get back home?” Aly asked.

Warnie wasted no time ranting about how he’d just had a lengthy stay in “Guantanamo Bay” and was tired from doing “13 hours of PR straight” before defending his good work.

“You can get stuffed if you want to... have a go at us but we are very proud of what we have been able to achieve,” he said.

“If people want to have a crack at us for raising money and making a difference, go ahead. We have nothing to hide. We welcome any audit.”

Things got really awkward when Aly wrapped up the interview by saying “I am not sure the independent auditors will get stuffed but I’m sure we will see what they ultimately say.”

Hours of brewing later and Warnie had this to say on Twitter:

“Disappoints me some journo's think in an interview being a dick is cool. Tip, if u want people back don't be inappropriate, arrogant or smug.”
