Jared Leto gives fans a freaky look at his Joker

Thanks to a new Snapchat filter, Suicide Squad fans have been given another sneak peek at Jared Leto's take on the iconic villain, The Joker.

The actor posted the short clip on social media, showing off his character's trademark green hair and bright red lips.

The 44-year-old actor starts the clip with some creepy heavy breathing, before launching into a snarl.

Leto also continued to post on his personal Twitter account in character.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Suicide Squad, which hits Aussie cinemas on August 4, 2016, with the film's director already singing his praises.

"When Jared steps onto the set the world stops. Everything stops. What Jared has done is absolutely incredible. What he's done is so powerful, so menacing, so palpable, you can feel him. The crew stops working and just watches him. I have to get everybody going again because he's so fascinating," he said.
