The BURNITUP! singer, 49, posted a video message to her fans, giving a status update on the tour, which began in August 2015.

"We're in the second leg of the tour and there actually has been a sudden change," Jackson said. "I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I'm going to have to delay the tour."

Jackson secretly wed Wissam Al Mana in 2012, not confirming the news until early 2013. It was the singer's third marriage and she currently has no children.

"Please, if you could try and understand that it's important that I do this now," Jackson asked of her fans. "I have to rest up, doctor's orders. But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can."

The R&B legend went on to thank those who had bought tickets as well as the dancers and crew of her show.

"It's been a long journey, and you guys have been there each and every step of the way. And I really do appreciate that. Thank you so much," she concluded.
