Former 'Home and Away' star's surprising new role


For three years Jason 'Finn' Smith was one of the most watched men on Aussie TV as Robbie Hunter on Home and Away.

Jason brought a little quirk to Summer Bay and fast became a fan favourite, thanks to his quick wit and one liners.

Robbie was also known for his on-screen friendship with best buddy Kim Hyde - played by Chris Hemsworth.

Now Jason’s stepping back into showbiz taking to the airwaves as part of Nova radio's new line-up... and he can't wait.

Speaking about his friendship with the Hollywood star, Jason toldThe Morning Show Chris aka Thor was always "one of the good guys".

"He's an absolute legend," he said. "He’s one of the good guys smashing it in Hollywood right now."

Jason also revealed he jumped at the chance to joint the Nova family, which also includes his old cast mate Katie Ritchie.

"I started out in community radio when I was 13, and it’s always something I’ve wanted to do - [finally] the right project came along at the right moment," he said. "Now I've got my own show on Nova across the country".

As for returning to Home and Away, Jason's adopted a never-say-never mentality.

"Robbie is a lovable larrkin he’s all grown up now - he could work well with Marilyn - there could be some good comedy stuff there," he said.

Jason, who's known as 'Finn' on Nova can be heard weeknight's from 10pm-1am.
