Is this the most disgusting prank ever played by an actor?

Jared Leto’s performance as The Joker is one of the most anticipated of 2016.

Not only because we can’t wait to see how he tries to eclipse Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger’s portrayals as the iconic villain, but because of all that we’ve heard about how he prepared for the part.

We already knew that Jared Leto had each bought the likes of Will Smith, Viola Davis and Margot Robbie either a pet rat a set of bullets or a dead pig as presents. But it turns out that things got much darker than that.

Warning: the gifts that Jared Leto bought for his peers aren’t for the faint-hearted. In fact, they’re downright disgusting and vulgar. So proceed with caution.

Jared Leto admitted to Entertainment Weekly that he sent used condoms and anal beads to his Suicide Squad co-stars.

Why? Well, I’ll let the Oscar-winning actor explain.

"I did a lot of things to create a dynamic element of surprise, a spontaneity and to really break down any kind of walls that may be there," Leto revealed while promoting Suicide Squad at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.

"The Joker is somebody who doesn’t really respect things like personal space or boundaries."

Jared Leto’s co-stars added further details about the actor’s antics, with Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje admitting that he received "sticky Playboy magazines" from Jared Leto, too.

Meanwhile, Will Smith insisted that Jared Leto’s peculiar behaviour worked wonders at setting a driven and professional tone on set.

"He went full Joker," Will Smith declared. "He really set the tone. He wasn’t playing with it. He was dead serious as an actor. He was going in and he was 100 percent going into this character."

We’ll get to see if this intensity was captured on-screen when Suicide Squad is finally released on August 4, 2016.
