Kerri-Anne Kennerley shares emotional picture of husband in hospital

After her emotional update on Sunday Night last week, fans have been waiting with bated breath for an update on Kennerley's husband's condition.

The TV star's life was turned upside down last month when her husband John broke his neck after a fall at Coffs Harbour golf course.

The 62-year-old shared an adorable photo to her Instagram followers, of her dog Digger visiting John in hospital.

"Today was the first time Digger recognised John and made us all happy," she captioned the photo.

"So true, pets really are therapy."

An emotional Kerri-Anne told Sunday Night that her husband's health woes were a "nightmare".

"I wake up thinking what a shocking nightmare that was ... only that it wasn't a nightmare ... it's real,” she cried.

“It happened so fast,' she added. “All he could say is ‘I can’t feel anything, I can't feel anything’.”

The TV host has taken their beloved dog to visit John before, but this is the first time Digger has recognised his dad.
