Some of the contestants of the most recent series of the show have hinted that the drama leading up to their big days - and the fallout in the days afterwards - is not all it seems.

Bride Simone revealed on Instagram that she was kept waiting in a hot car for hours prior to her wedding to Xavier.

"The car was SO hot, no air con, and I was in it for 2.5 hours!" she wrote.

Fellow bride Clare (who dramatically split from her 'husband' Jono on this week's show) also shared that she was kept waiting to draw out the drama.

"Nothing like circling in a car for 2.5 hours, in a tight dress when you need to pee to make you look really uncomfortable," she wrote in an Instagram comment.

Another bride from the show, Christie, revealed she was forced to stay on a boat by the show's producers, despite getting seasick.

"I was on the boat from 3.30pm and we didn't get off until 12.30am... I'm not very good on boats," she revealed.
