"There is something going on in my life...I am separated from my husband now," Greig admitted to *Studio 10__s Sarah Harris when asked about her marriage.

The pair tied the knot in November 2014, with Mel revealing they have been separated for a "couple of months".

"It's been a couple of months that I've been dealing with that in private and because I have been so open about my endometriosis and my battle, it's hard when people ask you how's the baby-making going, when's he moving to Wollongong?" she continued.

"So now I just need to put it out there and say "this is what's happening. He's not moving to Wollongong. There are no babies on the way and we're going to deal with it in private, the best we can."

Greig says her former husband wants to take time to "rediscover himself as an individual", adding "he deserves it".

Mel Greig made international headlines back in 2012 while working as a DJ for radio station 2DAY FM.

Mel and fellow DJ Michael Christian posed as the Queen and Prince Charles, and called a London hospital ward where the Duchess of Cambridge was being treated for severe morning sickness.

Nurse Jacintha Saldanha put them through. A day later, Ms Saldanha committed suicide.

"Steven was absolutely my rock and fought for me for so long through the toughest battle of our life and he now needs to look out for himself," also revealed on the show.
