It's getting nasty! Brynne takes aim at Warnie

Now it's really turning into a case of he said/she said.

Brynne Edelsten has taken aim at Shane Warne after the cricketer claimed she told paparazzi he was heading to her place for a 'night cap' after a night out last week.

Warnie was allegedly so angry at Brynne he even wrote a quasi-essay on Instagram lamenting the lack loyalty among some friends.

"Brynne invited me back to her place around 1am for a nightcap, when I arrived, paparazzi were conveniently waiting outside her home to get the pic, coincidence? I left instantly and thought how sad is that!" he wrote.

But yesterday it was revealed that Warnie knew the paps were heading to Brynne's place all along, and he even sent her a raunchy text message while waiting for them to leave.

Now, Brynne has spoken with Woman's Day to reveal what really happened that night.

"It’s sad that Shane has chosen to respond in this fashion. I used to have a huge crush on him and told him at the charity event in Geelong," she told the magazine. "He replied, ‘You did, or you still do?’ before grabbing my bum. That surprised me a bit, but he’d had a bit to drink by that stage."

The socialite says Warnie then invited her to come to the casino along with four other women.

"We met there and Shane leaned over to me and said, 'How do we get rid of those other girls?' I laughed, I thought maybe he really likes me after all — the other girls were pretty hot," she said.

"We exchanged numbers and agreed to meet at mine. A nightcap was the last thing on his mind. He was more interested in staying the night."

In the string of text messages Edelsten says she shared with Warne, Brynne told him she had arrived at home.

"Leaving now! You safe? Excited for me to devour u?" he replied. "Do I just get a cab to that address? No unit number or anything?"

After a short wait, he messages again. "What’s going on? You coming to get me?"

It's then that Brynne warns Warnie about the paparazzi waiting outside.

"Did you know that pap would be there? My ex is going to kill me if that comes out," she wrote.

Brynne insist she never tipped the photographer off.

"It is a ludicrous proposition," she said. "I have paparazzi following me all the time. It’s not something I particularly enjoy, but I understand it comes with the territory.

"I warned Shane there was a paparazzi outside the Crown when I left and he responded by saying that it was good that we’d left in separate vehicles. I’m pretty sure the paparazzi didn’t follow me that night, they obviously followed Shane’s taxi from the casino to my address."
