It was supposed to be the grand finale of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, but the Oscar de la Renta after party lacked star power, with many celebs and fashionistos revealing they were "exhausted" after a week of back-to-back runway shows.
Despite some of the biggest names in Aussie showbiz dotting the front row throughout the week, familiar faces were hard to find at the after-party, which took place at the Sydney Opera House after the international designer wowed fashionistas with the final runway show of the week.
"I'm just so exhausted," revealed social media star, and fashionista, Christian Wilkins, who found himself stuck in a lift after an off-site show earlier this week.
Many party attendees could be overheard talking about their exhaustion, all seeming to be suffering from "fashion week fatigue".
"I just have no energy left to party. I want to go home and sleep," one partygoer told Yahoo7 Entertainment.
Barely an hour after the party had begun, revellers were spotted sitting down on the Opera House stairs, ignoring the blaring 80s tunes from the DJ and choosing to rest their heels instead of hit the dancefloor.
The high-profile names spotted among the crowd included Victoria's Secret model Shanina Shaik, who made an appearance at the party in a bejewelled Oscar de la Renta gown after opening and closing the designer's show earlier in the evening.
Plus TV presenters Ksenija Lukich, Magdalena Roze, and model April Rose Pengilly were also spotted in the fashion crowd.
If only the party-tired crowd had as the energy to kick up their heels like blogger and model Tanja Gacic, who was spotted energetically shaking her moves on the empty dancefloor.
"I'm trying to get this party started!" she proclaimed.
Scott Disick's rumoured girlfriend, Aussie model Megan Blake-Irwin was also spotted snapping selfies with friends.
