The photos of Brynne and Warnie meeting for a 'nightcap' are finally here

The Aussie public has been glued to the saga that is Brynne Edelsten and Shane Warne's would-be romance.

It all started two weeks ago, when the cricketing superstar accused the socialite of inviting paparazzi to her apartment to capture the moment he turned up for a 'nightcap' after a night of parting.

Now, ladies and gents, those pap snaps have finally been released.

The photographs show Warnie and Brynne meeting at the entrance of her apartment block in the early hours of the morning.

46-year-old Warnie looks happy enough to see the former Mrs. Edelsten, but seems to become agitated when he notices the photographers waiting to get the perfect picture.

The next day, the 'King of Spin' took to social media to slam Brynne, accusing her of inviting the press to snap their rendezvous.

"Some people never cease to amaze me. Listen to this one. After a fun night raising money for breast cancer in Geelong last night, me & a few friends plus Brynne Edelsten went out for a couple of drinks. Brynne then invited me back to her place around 1am for a nightcap, when I arrived, paparazzi were conveniently waiting outside her home to get the pic, coincidence?" he wrote.

"I left instantly and thought how sad is that!"

The two high-profile stars have been embroiled in a bitter war of words ever since, with text messages between the pair being leaked to the press, seeming to show that Warnie new about the waiting paps all along.

"Can't wait to devour you", Warne reportedly texted Brynne.

"That pap is still out the front," Edelsten replied.

"Annoying! Good we are leaving separately," he wrote, later adding, "you excited?"
