Just three days after the death of Johnny Depp's mother, his 30-year-old wife, Amber Heard, has filed for divorce.
According to TMZ, Amber Heard filed her divorce petition earlier this week, citing "irreconcilable differences''.
The couple are not thought to have put a pre-nuptial agreement in place before they tied the knot in February 2015.
The 30-year-old actress sought spousal support in her divorce claim, but Depp has since filed a response through his lawyer Laura Wasser asking for Amber's maintenance claim to be turned down.
The couple have only been married for just over 12 months, after tying the knot in February of last year.
The divorce documents detail that Heard filed for divorce on May 22, just three days after the passing of Depp's mother, Betty Sue Palmer.
The couple have been making international headlines, after they illegally smuggled their two Yorkshire terriers, Pistol and Boo, into the country.
Just yesterday, Depp slammed Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce, labelling him an "inbred tomato".
There's no word yet on which of the two Hollywood megastars will get custody of their beloved pets, but Twitter has already begun to weigh in on the potential custody drama.
The Deputy PM himself has also responded to Depp's heartbreaking news, saying, "In all seriousness, the one thing I will never revel in is any relationship breakdown, no matter what animosity that might be seen on the air waves between Mr Depp and myself."
He added: "I have always wished the very best for people. No, I would never ever revel in something like that."
