"I've been going back and forth between LA and Australia for months," she exclusively tells Yahoo7 Entertainment.

"It's not an issue [for us] at all. I work, my husband works.

"We have such an amazing life and we’re so grateful and we just make it work," she says, adding that living apart at times to pursue their careers and passions is "just the way it is".

"It’s our normal. Everybody has their normal, and this is ours."

The 25-year-old also reveals she has a group of Aussie friends in the US city, including fellow Home and Away stars Samara Weaving and Rebecca Breeds, to keep her company.

"It’s so exciting to see everyone doing so well, it makes it possible and achievable. It’s nice, it feels like a home away from home!" she says.

Despite her hectic travelling schedule, the actress has been back on Aussie soil since April, and says her focus at the moment is being "happy and healthy".

She has a few projects in the works, including a "great Australian film" alongside her former Home and Away love interest Lincoln Lewis, due out in September.

"I'll definitely be flying the Australian flag!" she laughs.
