"I was about to compliment her on her complexion," one concierge reportedly told a lawyer who lives in the same building.
The witness saw Amber on May 23 and May 25 - two and four days after the reported attack - and said she was wearing no make-up and had no physical evidence that she had been assaulted by 52-year-old Johnny Depp.
Heard was granted a temporary restraining order against Depp in the same week as she filed for divorce from the star, stating "irreconcilable differences".
The 30-year-old actress appeared in court with a black eye, and accused her husband of smashing her face with an iPhone and assaulting her throughout their "entire marriage".
"During the entirety of our relationship, Johnny has been verbally and physically abusive to me," she said in a sworn statement.
She added that Depp has a "totally acknowledged public and private history of drug and alcohol abuse," and that she was scared of his temper.
