An ex-manager for the 67-year-old rocker says the allegations that he cheated on his wife Sharon is all part of an elaborate publicity stunt.
Steven Machat told RadarOnline that he doesn't believe Ozzy would ever cheat on his wife of 34 years, mostly because he's "not all there".
"I would doubt that he had an affair," Machat said.
He claims the news of the affair and the pair's subsequent marriage breakdown is a ploy to drum up publicity for Ozzy's band, Black Sabbath, who kicked off a new tour this month.
"Sharon is clever enough to make a story that the press would read, so all of a sudden he becomes relevant again," he said.
Sources also told PageSix earlier this month that Sharon was the "queen of publicity stunts".
"She’s a very smart woman.... If it is a stunt, it has got him almost as much press as when he bit that bat’s head off," the source said.
Sharon addressed addressed her split from Ozzy on an episode of her talk show, The Talk, in early May.
"I'm 63 years of age, and I can't keep living like this ... I've been avoiding looking at any pictures or reading anything. I know what's going on. I don't need to read about or see about it. It's like putting salt in a wound. I don't need to...He's back, and now I'm out of the house," she said while sipping lemonade - a reference to Beyonce's album about her own cheating scandals.
