Why is Shane Warne hanging out with Charlie Sheen?

In a somewhat surprising turn of events, Shane Warne was photographed hanging out with Charlie Sheen.

The ex-cricketer shared a picture of him with the 50-year-old actor and captioned it: "Great to meet this #legend @charliesheen ! Great night ahead #winning Hahahah"

The pair met after British TV personality Piers Morgan interviewed Sheen and took part in a Q&A session with the audience.

Sheen promised to get "up close and personal" with Morgan while onstage at the Theatre Royal in Drury Lane, London.

Earlier this year it was revealed the former Two And A Half Men actor was diagnosed with HIV after having unprotected sex.

Chatting to Evening Standard about what to expect in the interview, Sheen said: "Basically, it's a casual conversation. It talks about things I've been through recently and storytellings of the past.

"Also just about my career and trying to focus more on the body of work, future work, current work and not delve into the things that everybody seems to have so much curiosity about."

Audience members, including Warnie, praised Sheen for his honesty in the Q&A.
