Police release disturbing details about Christina Grimmie’s killer
Christina Grimmie’s killer was a "recluse”, a new police report reveals.
Detectives interviewed the father of Kevin Loibl, who fatally shot the former contestant on the US series of The Voice before turning the gun on himself on June 10.

Loibl’s dad revealed that his son had not been diagnosed with a mental illness, but was "living like a hermit" and covered his windows in his bedroom with aluminium foil, due to an aversion to light.
Police also found that Loibl only had one close acquaintance, Corey Dennington, who worked Best Buy with him, and described himself as his “only friend in the world”.
Dennington told the police that Loibl spent most of his time watching Grimmie on YouTube and constantly monitored her Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts.
“He (Loibl) made it clear he watched everything having to do with her,” Dennington told police, and added that Loibl referred to the 22-year-old star as his “soulmate”.
Loibl’s family and Dennington both told police Loibl had lost weight, undertaken eye surgery, had hair implants to improve his appearance in a bid to win over the affections of the singer.
Detectives have searched Loibl’s phone, but was encrypted so no data could be retrieved from it. Loibl also destroyed his computer ahead of Grimmie’s show.
Grimmie was shot four times, in her head and three times in the torso, the police report concludes. An autopsy ruled her death to be a homicide due to multiple gunshot wounds.
