Not only does she not bother turning up to her own trial, unlike Loras Tyrell – who confesses to everything – but the revengeful queen mother has a little surprise in store for her enemies!

Yep, Cersei burns the city with wildfire that was left under King’s Landing by King Aerys II Targaryen. The High Sparrow, her cousin Lancel Lannister, Loras Tyrell, his sister Margaery and their dad Mace all go up in the green flames.

They're not the only ones to die under Cersei's say. Grand Maester Pycelle is also killed by the “little birds” who formerly worked for Varys.

Yep, hell hath no fury like Cersei scorned! The blonde bad ass then gets revenge on Septa Unella, leaving her to her henchman, Gregor ‘The Mountain’ Clegane. “Shame, shame,” Cersei calls out as she walks out of the room as the nun is tortured.

But things don't end rosy for the calculating mother. When her son King Tommen sees his city go up in flames from his bedroom window, he commits suicide by jumping out of it.

Talking of revenge, Ayra Stark gets to tick Walder Frey off her hit list and avenge her brother Robb and mum Catelyn for their slaughter at The Red Wedding!

Using the skills she acquired from the Faceless Men in Braavos, she morphs into a waitress to serve Frey up his own sons in a pie before slitting his throat.

“The last thing you’ll ever see will be a Stark smiling down at you as you die,” she tells him. Go Ayra!

Elsewhere, Melisandre is banished from the north by Jon Snow (who has now been named King of the North) and Ser Davos Seaworth for her crimes against Shireen Baratheon. Sam Tarly reaches the Citadel, and Petyr Baelish tells Sansa Stark that he wants to sit in the Iron Throne as king and have her as his queen. But she doesn't seem interested and we don't blame her! And Daenerys Targaryen anoints Tyrion Lannister as 'Hand of the Queen' after she tells Daario he can't come with her to Westeros.

Best of all, the L+R=J theory is finally proven true! Bran – who is now the Three-Eyed Raven – wargs back to the moment his father Ned Stark finds his sister Lyanna in the Tower of Joy. And.... drumroll.... she's just given birth to a baby boy.

“Promise me Ned,” Lyanna begs Ned as he’s hands him her son. The baby being Jon Snow!

Finally, the episode ends with Cersei – who is now childless – being crowned as Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. The prophecy she received as a young girl has come true. But Jaime Lannister doesn't look too impressed when he sees his sister-lover sitting on the Iron Throne.

So much drama! We can't believe we now have to wait a whole year for Season 7 to air!
