Mariah Carey and Rosyln Packer grow closer ahead of wedding

While it’s rumoured that Mariah Carey and her future mother-in-law Roslyn Packer don't get along, sources have revealed the pair are growing closer in the lead up to the wedding.

Woman's Day magazine claim the two are spending "more time together than ever before" ahead of her upcoming nuptials.

Mariah's wedding plans were allegedly put on hold because Ros disapproved of the marriage.

"Ros is a woman raised in the country with very traditional values," a source told the publication.

"Mariah is all bells, whistles and flashbulbs - they are very different women."

The 46-year-year old got engaged to Aussie billionaire James Packer in January, but Mariah insists the ceremony has been delayed because of their busy schedules.

The Hero singer said that tying the knot this year "is the goal," however, she admitted, "there's a lot on my plate."

As for her fiancé, Mariah had nothing but praise: "He’s just one of those people who is always there for people and that’s a quality that I just haven’t seen... except in myself".
