Report: Bindi Irwin is getting married

They've only been dating for 20 months, but a new report claims that Bindi Irwin and her boyfriend Chandler Powell are engaged!

Yep, US-based Chandler, 19, is said to have popped the question on a recent trip Down Under,and they're planning to tie the knot soon after her 18th birthday on July 24.

What's more, the Dancing With The Stars champ wants to use the occasion to honour the 10th anniversary of her late dad Steve Irwin's death on September 4.

"[She wants to] turn the saddest day in her life to what she knows will become the happiest," a source tells New Idea.

As a lifelong fan of our beloved Crocodile Hunter, there's no doubt professional wakeboarder Chandler will want to pay tribute to his betrothed's father too.

"Chandler used to watch Steve Irwin's TV show all the time as a kid," his granddad, John DiCenzo, told Woman's Day, adding that his grandson was 'devastated' when he was killed by a stingray barb while filming footage for one of his daughter's shows in 2006.

"We all knew how much he admired Steve."
