Erin Holland dishes on Miss World behind the scenes

Three years after competing for the Miss World title, Erin Holland has revealed there were a few "tiffs" between the girls on their month-long journey to the crown.

"Cyprus and Greece didn’t really get along too well," she told Be at our launch in Sydney Thursday night.

"At one point one locked the other out the room at night and she had to sleep in another room and she turned up late to rehearsal. A few little bits and pieces like that."

But there was no real malice: "I think that stuff just comes down to being away from home for the first time ever."

In fact it is true that the experience is for making life-long friends.

"We are all really good friends now actually - we have a WhatsApp group with like everyone."

"I have actually caught up with 5 or 6 of the girls since which has been really nice."

When asked about some of the recent fiascos in the media she empathised with the stress that the competitors are under.

"I really feel for the girls. It is such a high pressure, intense environment."

"I am a very competitive person by nature but we can’t compare what the competitions are like in our country compared to their country."

"It’s the difference between setting yourself up for life you and your family or not. Where as for us its like, yeah you can forge a great career but you could also do that if you don’t win."

So would she ever enter another pageant?

"I think my time in pageants has come and gone. I am very glad I did it and I would change my past but I am moving forward."

"I have been a judge. I went over to England in 2014 to judge Mr World which was a little bit of fun."
