EXCLUSIVE: Hamish Blake: 'I launched Margot Robbie's career'

Hamish Blake says he takes full credit for Margot Robbie's impressive career.

The one half of Hamish and Andy star explained told Be dished out acting advice to the Tarzan actress way back when she played Donna Freedman on Neighbours (Hamish appeared in a cameo episode in 2009).

"I was in a scene with Margot Robbie and she said, 'I'm nervous about going to Hollywood and acting with Leo on The Wolf of Wall Street", Hamish says.

"I just said, 'Watch my performance in Neighbours, see if you can pick up a few tips on how to act properly,'" he joked.

"And she absolutely killed it in The Wolf of Wall Street. To know that I singlehandedly launched her career is quite flattering."

Hamish and his wife, author and Go-To skincare founder, Zoë Foster Blake, have recently signed on as ambassadors of Bonds.

Australia's favourite celebrity couple currently front the Bonds 'Bring It' Sports campaign, which sees them show off a range of activewear.

Hamish says he and Zoe juggle their fitness regimes around their adorable bub, Sonny.

"We do enjoy being active and we certainly want Sonny to grow up being active, but if Zoe's off at a pilates class, I'll be looking after Sonny, and same as if I'm off riding a bike. But as a family we like being active," he spills.

The doting father-of-one also chatted about what it was like having a toddler who is arguably Australia's most-loved baby.

"He's definitely more Instagram famous than me but it's very hard to tell for me because I'm his dad," Hamish gushed.

"He could have a rat face and I would probably still think he was the cutest little guy ever. It's a funny thing where people have talked about his cuteness and I'll always agree but I have dad hormones so it's impossible for me to see him objectively."

What's more, the 34-year-old dished on his favourite Sonny story (which he admits changes all the time): "We're reading him a book called Stick Man at the moment which is about a guy who's a stick. Sonny loves it but he can't say 'S' so he says 'D' for 'S', and that just gets me. I make him read it once a day (laughs)."

The hands-on dad also reveals he's keen for Sonny to have a sibling in the future.

Hamish says: "I'm sure it'll happen one day. There's no plans afoot. We're not thinking about it too much but you never when or how these things happen, but it certainly wouldn't be a bad thing if we one day got around to making another little playmate."
