Is this the end for Taylor Swift?

We thought Taylor had well and truly bounced back after THAT VMA’s incident with Kanye. 2015 was the year of Tay: she fronted her own glam squad, was dating a mega successful babin’ DJ and she seemed to win every award she was nominated for, hello 29 GRAMMY Awards.

And then it all started to come undone thanks to Kanye’s recently released song Famous. Taylor insisted she never approved of his controversial lyrics, but Kim Kardashian leaked a Snapchat of Taylor talking to the rapper on the phone giving him the OK. Now the #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty has taken over Twitter and we decided to dive into the great debate…

Hell no. Taylor's a marketing genius with a whole glam squad behind her - this is just another strategic move in her carefully calculated life.

Love her or hate her, you can't deny she's the biggest pop star in the world and people just can't get enough.

We're willing to bet Kim, Kanye and Taylor will turn around in a few months time and say, "We were in on it together the whole time."

In the words of her (albeit disgruntled) ex-boyfriend, Calvin Harris: “[Taylor] controlled the media and this situation. I had no idea what was going on."

It’s no secret she knows exactly what she’s doing.

I once published an article which said Tay-Tay was going to move in with Calvin (when the story was making the rounds during their 15-month relationship).

The very next day, I got a stern email from her people asking me to take it down. She’s got eyes and ears everywhere, and if anyone can manipulate the situation to make it work in her favour, it’s Swifty.

Sure, she’s had the world turn on her before and was a regular on “Most Hated Celebrities” lists in 2013. Tabloids even labeled her a “man eater” for dating a string of male celebs (side note: who doesn’t date in their twenties?!).

But she still managed to transform her entire image to go on to become one of the most successful female artists on the planet with one of the most successful albums of all time, 1989.

Just take her song Blank Space which pokes fun of her own alleged crazed dating antics.

When questioned about the song and without missing a beat, she quipped: “I knew some people would hear Blank Space and say, 'See, we were right about her.’ If you don’t get the joke, you don’t deserve to get the joke.”

Case in point.

She’s so brilliant at masterminding she could pen a novel that would make Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl look amateur.

And when she drops a song with Yeezy (which will no doubt be our anthem for 2016), we’ll sit back and applaud her.

By now, if you haven’t worked out that Tay Tay’s star is fading then you’re living in denial and we didn’t need her feud with Kimye to reach boiling point yesterday to work it out.

It’s hard to pinpoint the EXACT moment when we all just got a bit fed up with Taylor but I’d like to think it’s when the world found out she was dating Tom Hiddleston after some very staged photographs of the pair were leaked.

Then we were treated to even MORE staged photographs when Tom whisked Taylor across the pond to meet his mother.

Look I’m all for getting along with your in-laws but would I walk arm-in-arm with my mother-in-law Swift style? No, probably not. TONE. IT. DOWN. GIRL. I never saw you look so cosy with Calvin Harris’ mother.

And then, there are the feuds. Not just with Kimmy K and Kanye, but Joe Jonas, Katy Perry, Tina Fey, Calvin Harris, Diplo, John Mayer and Nicki Minaj.

The first time ‘Snake Swift’ struck was back in 2008, when she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and spilled all the beans on the demise of her relationship with Joe. She called him out for dumping her in a 27 second phone call. And while Joe should have known better; why kiss and tell like that Taylor? Isn’t it punishment enough that half an album is dedicated to him?

She manages to make a soundtrack out of a failed relationship.

At the 2013 Golden Global our Queens Tina Fey and Amy Poehler made a joke about Taylor’s dating life. Not liking this, she gave an interview with Vanity Fair and when asked about the joke she said, ‘There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.’ Yikes.

She wrote Bad Blood about Katy Perry and has had a few public digs at her. Even her new ex Calvin Harris called her out on it saying, "I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I'm not that guy, sorry. I won't allow it.'

And now 24 hours after Twitter’s #TaylorGotExposedParty she’s still trying to be a victim. But it’s hard to act innocent when you’re recorded saying, “It’s like a compliment” when talking about Kanye’s Famous lyrics. She needs to stop.
