Former 'Home and Away' star Christie Hayes says parents should take kids travelling


Many parents dread the thought of a long-haul flight with kids in tow, but former Home and Away star Christie Hayes says it’s “a dream.”

The 29-year-old took her boys overseas to the Maldives and admitted that initially she thought she was nuts, but ended up having a great time.

The mother-of-two posted the above image with a lengthy caption about travelling with kids.

“I’m so glad we took our boys overseas,” she wrote.

“So many people, including myself, thought we were nuts taking them to the Maldives but so far it’s all been a dream.”

The Aussie actress, who is bet known for her role in Home and Away as Kirsty Phillips, admitted that she may have just been lucky this time.

“Perhaps this is the only time we will get lucky travelling with our kids and it all working out, but it certainly won’t be the last time we do it,” she wrote.

The young mum then gave some advice to other parents: “If you have kids…forget the worry and go see the world!!!” she wrote.

Christie used the hashtags, #motherhood, #themaldives and #travellingwithkids.

Many fans took to Instagram to show their support for the travelling mumma, and also gave tips to others who were asking for advice on the Instagram post.
