Bindi Irwin opens up on when she's getting married

She only turned 18 over the weekend, but Bindi Irwin has been at the centre of some pretty persistent engagement rumours.

And now the daughter of the late Steve Irwin has broached the subject that she and boyfriend Chandler Powell are set to walk down the aisle.

"I don't think I'm at a point in my life where marriage and getting engaged is really a huge priority right now for me. Maybe in five years, but right now I'm really happy with where I'm at," Bindi told Entertainment Tonight.

"I'm really happy with our relationship and I think we'll just continue to have fun. It's just nice to have someone there no matter what."

Bindi and Chandler, first got together nearly two years ago after the American wakeboarder visited Australia Zoo.

And it would seem Bindi is absolutely smitten with her boyfriend.

Despite their long-distance love, she told ET the couple manage to make it work.

"It's nice when you find somebody who's just endlessly kind and understands you and is really like-minded. I always get really excited," she said.

"I'm really blessed and grateful to have him in my life."
