Phoebe Burgess is pregnant!

Baby whispers were circling yesterday after friends let slip that Phoebe and Sam Burgess were expecting their first baby.

Now Sam has confirmed the big news on radio this morning.

"It's exciting news, we're both over the moon," he told radio hosts Fitzy and Wippa on Nova 96.9.

Sam confirmed that Phoebe was over the three month mark and said she had, "been amazing through the first trimester."

Both Sam and Phoebe are 27 years old.

Phoebe spoke to The Daily Telegraph last month about her desire to have children and about how great she believes Sam will be as a dad.

“They’re over the moon and can’t wait,” a friend of the couple told The Daily Telegraph.

“They really are so happy. They’ve been carrying on as normal, no particular cravings for Phoebe so far. She feels very lucky."

Phoebe posted a photo on Instagram yesterday hinting that she may be expecting.

She posted the above photo with the caption, “That’s 6 (and a half) Burgi on my lounge for Spag Bol Night.”

People took to the comments to ask if she was trying to tell them something. One comment said, “Congratulations on your PREGNANCY.”

Others thought she may have been referring to the dog in the photo.

The duo met through friends in 2014 and got married in December on Phoebe’s parents’ property in the Southern Highlands.
