Carrie and Waleed challenge Michael Jackson’s former doctor on his book

Michael Jackson’s former docter, Dr. Conrad Murray had some tough questions about his tell-all memoir from Carrie Bickmore and Waleed Aly on The Project.

Murray was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter after Michael Jackson’s death in 2011 and is now promoting his book This Is It.

Carrie Bickmore introduced him as, “the man responsible for [Michael Jackson’s] death,” and said he now wants us all to know the popstar’s, “darkest secrets.”

During her segment Carrie didn’t look too impressed about the man she was introducing. When Dr. Conrad Murray came on the show Carrie was quick to fire up.

She said, “Conrad, you’ve been convicted for the manslaughter of this man and now you’re telling all of his secrets in a book that you’ve named after the tour he would never perform in, This Is It, how is this all appropriate?”

Murray claimed that it wasn’t about telling secrets, and said Michael wanted to have his story told.

Waleed then took his turn to confront the book’s author, asking what his motivation was in writing the book.

“Your motivation on this; is part of it that you need money, and that you know a book like this will provide that?” he asked.

The disgraced doctor tried to skirt around Waleed's question, but ultimately said his motivation was not money.

Carrie then ended the interview rather abruptly.

Murray spoke exclusively to Be about why he decided to write the book.

“It has been seven years since it all started, the major catastrophe in my life and the loss of Michael. He had said to me that he wanted his story to be told,” Dr. Conrad Murray said.

Murray was sentenced to the maximum penalty of four years in prison, of which he only served two. He has now released a book called This is It!: The Secret lives of Dr. Conrad Murray and Michael Jackson.

“Michael never shared with me his drug problem, that’s one thing I hold him responsible for. I’m upset with him about that. He compromised my livelihood, my entire career, by not telling me about it. I would not have been around him if I knew he was doing that,” he told Be.
