It’s also the first flick Chan has starred in that’s a sci-fi movie, and we’re told the star will be doing a lot of his stunts on the top of the Sydney Opera House!

“After this, I want to do something different,” the Hong Kong martial artist told the media at the conference. “My career in action movies has been over 50 years. I'd like to have a love interest.”

The actor revealed that because of some superstitious film execs, he’s not been allowed to die, cut his hair or have a love interest in his movies.

“It’s because of superstition. I did a love scene once and two girls in Japan died,” he admitted. “I’ve been doing action movies for so long. I want to do a love scene. It would be so much easier than filming an action sequence.”

What’s more, the star – who was named as one of the highest earning actors in the world last year – says he feels like a tour guide in Sydney, because he’s been here so often.

“Most of the time I take my [colleagues]. Walking around, go to the Opera House or the harbour. I’m just like a tour guide,” he joked. “I’m like who lives here? That’s Mel Gibson’s house.”

Bleeding Steel has been announced as the biggest budget Chinese production to be shot Down Under. Jackie joins Nana Ouyang, Erica Xia-Hou and Tess Haubrich in the upcoming flick, which it out next year.
