'The Bachelor' contestant Megan’s wedding photos


The Bachelor contestant Megan Marx, 27 was married when she was 18, and divorced by 22. She has described her wedding as “weird.”

There are some photos from her wedding day that have surfaced on her stepdad Ross Upchurch’s Facebook account.

Megan told OK! Magazine that her wedding was a little strange.

“We had to get married in the middle of a church service straight after the pastor had preached a sermon about how everyone was going to hell if you drank,” she told the publication.

The WA local described it as “awful” and said a few people from her work and school were there who weren’t part of the church.

Megan has spoken about the church community she group up in and described it as “repressive.”

“I remember once I kissed my boyfriend and we weren’t allowed to talk to each other for six months, and I was called a whore. I was 15,” she told OK!.

The health promotions officer is a hot favourite to win Richie Strahan’s heart on this season of The Bachelor.

When asked if she would ever get married again Megan said she would love to.

“And have kids and do all that,” she told OK!.

The Bachelor contestant denies claims that she was forced into an arranged marriage, she says her and her ex-husband were in love at the time. They’d been courting since she was 14 before tying the knot.

“My wedding day was steeped in regulation but I was still stoked to marry a man I loved,” she told AAA.

She said despite being part of the church, her upbringing was just like “any Aussie kid.”
