Oops! Britney Spears can't remember meeting Taylor Swift and people are freaking out

Britney Spears says she can't remember meeting Taylor Swift, when she actually has met the country songstress on more than a few occasions!

During an interviews with KIIS 106.5, Britney was asked by Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson whether she would rather take a long-haul flight with Katy Perry or Taylor Swift.

“I’ve briefly met Katy Perry, at the Smurfs movie premiere,” Britney replied. “So actually, no, maybe because I’ve met Katy Perry I’d say Taylor Swift, because I’ve never met her before.”

Fans on social media, however, were quick to point out that this wasn’t actually the case.

Taylor and Britney DID actually meet back in 2008 at the MTV VMAs, and the pair had previously met back in 2003, too. Awkward!

During the interview, Britney also spoke about her two boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and said they were totally obsessed with Pokémon Go.

“It’s taken over my kids’ lives,” she added. “They go in these phases, but when they really get into it it’ll be like 20 minutes of, ‘Mom! There’s a one right there. There’s a Pokémon right there!’ I’m like, ‘Oh my god, you’re scaring me!'”
